Default IAT sensor info needed

Does anyone have the part number handy, I have done a couple of searches and haven't came up with anything

Also, what wires (2002) do I use out of the MAF sensor to hook to the sensor?

Thanks in advance for the help

Nick

12102620 AC Delco Wire Pigtail

Use the purple and tan wires:

Note: that is a threaded IAT sensor. You'll have to weld in a bung on the intake. There is a press in sensor, but I dont know the part number. Wasnt sure it would hold under boost anyway.

I recommend the thread in IAT, I've tried the plastic IAT and it leaked boost through the middle of the sensor.

Hint: Cut the bung in half before you weld it on the pipe and it will help put the IAT tip more into the airstream.

I just looked up the IAT sensor for a base 98 corvette on rockauto. It is not threaded. I haven't had any problems with 12 psi. A threaded one isn't a bad idea though.

I think the treaded one is from a typhoon? I have the push in one and its holding fine @ 11 psi but the treaded/ metal one would probably be the ideal set-up.

The push-in will stay in just fine and you will most likely never notice it leaking boost unless you actually make tools for doing a boost leakdown test. I have pvc end caps with schrader style air fittings threaded in them that I clamp to the charge piping to pressurize the entire system and check for leaks before ever driving the vehicle. It will save you a lot of hassle to fix the leaks before going out and tuning it. I had one Z06 that would never hit the boost it was suppose to when it came in the shop and I tested it and found all 8 lower injector o-rings leaking badly at only 3psi.

Here is the threaded IAT to use. #25036751
It's a 3/8-18 NPT thread.

I know this is a old post but I'm relocating my IAT sensor on my 2001 coupe with the screw in IAT Sensor (25036751) and the pigtail. What I'm having trouble with is trying to figure out what wire go were. Inside The Sensor it has a small slot and a larger slot, what wire goes to small slot side? Is it the purple one or the tan one? And what wire goes to the other side?
Thanks

Ok, Sorry for reviving an old thread but I figured it would be easier to post in here rather then start a new threa. Ok, the vehicle is a 2002 ZO6 and I have purchased a screw in IAT sensor and weather pack to delete the intigrated MAF/IAT combination relocate the IAT sensor on the back on my LS2 Intake manifold. As far as I know it dont matter which of the two wires go where in relationship to the blades on the sensor but my question is which two wires do I use? I read here that it's the tan and purple wires. However, I read on another forum that it's the brown & black/white wires? Can anyone help me with this?

I picked up my threaded IAT sensor from advanced auto parts. I think it was like $14. I asked for the IAT sensor from a 87 turbo Buick grand national.

IF that diagram is correct, it's purple and tan. For sure it's 2 on the end. The way an IAT works, it doesn't matter which way you wire the purple and tan to the pigtail, just do purple to one and tan to the other.

Right, I understand that it dont matter which wire (because its a resistor). I was wondering is it the purple and tan wires or the black/white and brown wites as it suggested on another corvette forum.

Thanks dude!

Is it the thin blade terminal removal tool needed to get the terminals out? If so I'm going to have to wait because that's the one I don't have.

Try a small paper clip to push it out.
