Man Chris. I keep reading your thread waiting for some good news. The money and wait will all be worth it in the end. It'll be like a summer Christmas present!!

Im gonna stay positive though, its in good hands
Maybe they had loud exhaust and couldn't hear the thrust bearing was toasted. That didn't happen over night man.
You're right about it being in good hands. It couldn't be in better hands for tuning, fab or replacement. Dallas Performance is the best and I've been to almost every shop in town. I don't know how Taylor ever finishes a job being as **** as he is.
You must be a patient man Chris. After all these problems I'm surprised you keep such a positive attitude.Good for you.I can't wait to see how this one turns out.My C5 has been down for 2 months for my TTI build and fresh 402.I thought time was going to be a big problem, but never considered anything like you are going through. The motor is sitting in the cradle with both turbos mounted and all pipes on except the last few going to the inter cooler. The kit I bought was also used and was missing some pieces just to add to the fun.I knew this from the beginning and I got a killer deal so no complaints there. It was just a giant hassle making up the drain flanges and finding other parts. My front and rear cradle are on the ground with the body is on the hoist.Even though I was told this was the best way to do it I will never do a re&re this way again
I've already had to roll the body off the hoist with jack stands and tire dollies once. That was a fun experience
I'm still trying to decide whether to put the rear, torque tube and front cradle together on the floor and then drop the body on or due each piece separate.Installing my single turbo was a joke compared to this deal.Nothing against TTi as it is a real nice design.I think it was the re&re which really killed me, as it is my first and hopefully my last one.Learned a lot though and Champion Motors has helped me big time.Nice to drop by a local shop and see 3 completed TTI Vettes, one on the hoist half done and two more motors on the stands with TTi turbos hanging on each side. These guys are so busy.I don't know how Rob keeps his sanity and yet he always finds time to answer all my questions.Champion also built my 402.A BIG up to that shop!Anyway good luck man.I hope I've made you feel better.
May the Turbo Gods be with you.

Thats a possibility having a loud exhaust. Im not expert on turbos so its hard for me to even think of how it could happen. lol
Ive seen his work time and time again and wont go anywhere else around here.

Sounds like your having a heck of a time then, also. Ive heard great things about the TTi kit so when the smoke clears you will be just as happy.
About the craddle, torque tube....I would put it together and drop the body on it. Ive had the rear craddle, rear end/trans, and torque tube out and I think its so EASY to work with them all put together. Ive never had the front cradle off so im unsure about that.
Either way man, good luck on getting that beast back on the streets
I was having a little smoking problem on deceleration and after a hard pull so I got the TurboWerx oil scavenge pump from Dallas Performance and it seemed to cure the smoking issue. I also replaced the oil lines with SS braided lines but noticed a tiny oil leak so I pulled all the lines back off today, and Im going to have all AN fittings put on rather than cheap hose clamps.
I also go the engine bay looking much better with a pair of LS2 fuel rail covers.
Im gonna get the lines and all put back on this weekend, fill it up with methanol and get some pics for sure this weekend, maybe some video (but of course I wont be able to post the video here )
LMAO, your Turbowerx install looks just like mine save for I don't have the AN fittings (went ghetto fabulous with hoses and clamps).
Helluva pump though isn't it????
It pretty much made my smoking issue non-existent.
The only place I have hose clamps is at the "Y" fitting because the shop here in town that stocks most of the AN stuff didnt have what I needed. Ill be ordering what I need from Jegs by next oil change so I dont have any hose clamps.
Your build is looking great and with really good results. How does she drive? We are all waiting for your report.
I was thinking about going out and changing my oil lines to the ones that Chris put in since he convinced me that it is cheap insurance. So I went in my garage and looked. Here is where I have to give a shout out to LG Motorsports (they did my install and tune). I found that they had put in stainless braided oil lines with strain relief wherever the line touches something and AN fittings. I guess they did not like the cheap rubber lines from APS. What a great shop; always looking out for the customer and putting in the right parts even without me asking for it. You done real good Louis, Sean, Anthony and company.

Thank you! It drives like a dream. I drive it around on low boost (9psi) and it couldnt be more tame. I pull up to meet friends who have been waiting to see it and they expect some BEAST to roll by and its not like that at all. Taylor at DP really was spot on with the cam specs. It pulls hard up to redline and doesnt fall off and the stop and go traffic is no problem whatsoever. I couldnt ask for a better shop to work with. It blows freezing cold A/C and never thinks about getting over 210*, even in 100 degree weather.
