Default Studs or Bolts

I am forging my LS6 block for forced induction. Are studs for the mains a necessity or will a good set of bolts do? Planning on about 7lbs boost.
thanks

i went studs just for the fact if i ever switch heads i don't have to clean head bolt holes and studs arent that much more money then the arp head bolts.

Studs WITHOUT QUESTION..

Its inexpensive in relation the bolts, and the added strength is much greater. The last thing you want is those main caps moving around.

Plus, no one EVER keeps it at low boost. No matter how good the intentions are.

My motor is the ONLY reason I'm still at stock boost. The urge to pulley down is driving me nuts.

Please explain where "the added strength comes from".
Since the block and main cap are aluminum you can only provide the clamp load that the softer material threads can handle.
The steel bolt or stud will have a much higher tensile strength and pull the threads out of the block at the same torque level.
