nice writeup.
I love hearing about people taking their boosted machines to the track where they belong.
Where are those pics at???
I've been having a hell of a time logging back into my Cardomain site where I have all my other pics. They send me a password, and it doesn't work. I'm extremely frustrated with it. Who has a free site for me to post my pics up? Cardomain is going to lose my business.
Great story, Dwight. So did you run in Competition mode? How did the rear brake pads look at the end of the day?
Makes me wanna take my C5 to LPE....
I ran it with all the nannies on! Never turned anything off - actually towards the end of the day, I should have switched on the comp mode as I could feel the computer preventing me from powering out of the corners slightly. It saved my bacon once when I was mentally drained going into pit lane too hot - the Active Handling really is amazing on these cars.
The rear brake pads looked just fine - the brake dust on the front wheels was pretty significant, but remember, I'm running 4 piston brembos all around, not the stock units, so my pad material and size is way better than stock - which I know you're familiar with, given your stable.
I was very curious how the set-up would stand up to a real *** kicking on the track all day - these TT setups aren't exactly a simple bolt on - glad to see the engineering was up to the task!
Nice write up. Glad you're happy. I have a LPE TT and it is wonderfully engineered. Won't say a lot but there are things and touches you won't see on most aftermarket TT cars. Not my boasting either, just saying John and his legacy built great cars that go very fast. I've had one problem in four years. Granted not much time on it compared to a stock car but it does whatever is asked of it on pump gas and does it very, very fast. I'd put my car up engineering wise against anyone and not be embarrassed.
And they're great to work with, too. If I were to have another TT then it would be another LPE car.
And no I don't work for them or own part of the company. I wish.
