ok so i hooked up a manual boost controller, as i adjust the **** for more boost , the car will not go over 6 psi of boost, even when i have the **** turned all the way up , it will not go over 6 psi. if i turn the **** down the boost will adjust down, so i think the controller is fine and it is hooked up properly , i am at loss and need to know why it is not boosting higher.
I'll go ahead and assume its an external wastegate. On a Tial for instance, you'll often see just one line plumbed into the side of the wastegate, and the top of the wastegate left open. It will run off of spring pressure in this setup. You have two options in this scenario: either run an extra line for a boost controller, or change to a higher pressure spring. If you want to add a boost controller to a Tial, plumb in a line to the port on the top of the wastegate, and put the boost controller in line to it.
right now i have it going from the wastegate actuator and another line going to the compressor line coming from the turbo. it will adjust ok, just does not go over 6 psi.

Pull out the wastegate spring and find out from the manufacturer which one it is.They are usually colour coded.Get a spring that is higher then the boost you want and turn the controller down to the lowest boost and creep up on what you want. It's a good investment to run race fuel when experimenting with this stuff. It will save your motor if the car over boosts.Do your testing in high gear were the boost will not spike too fast so you can get out of it in time.Don't try any testing in first gear.
Good luck.
