Default NANO System Installed

Installed the new NANO system today. This is NOW APPROVED BY the NHRA. Need to get it dyno tuned (by HorsePower Sales of Florida) and then some track time. Won't be for a couple weeks, hopefully for the 15th.

Here are some pictures. I still have to remove all the bottle heater wiring and the relay.

Looking good Bob!

I choose to leave my heater so I can pop a fresh bottle in and heat it up if the NANO was empty.

Going to try and get some bottle pressure logs spraying on heater and compare vs spraying on NANO. Have 6 track day windows this time home, see how the weather holds up (seems to rain when I am home!).

It's called NANO and stands for Nitrogen Assisted Nitrous Oxide.
The little bottle holds Nitrogen OR Air. This particular size is 4500 psi. What it does in a nutshell is pushes the nitrous from the nitrous bottle. This allows a consistent pass again, and again, and again. It will keep the pressure coming out of the nitrous bottle at a steady 950psi to 1050psi.
No heater required and the pass is consistent for the complete run and every other run until the bottle is empty.

Thanks Jim Hmm I didn't think of the heater idea as a back-up. Good Thinking.

How many passes can you make with the small air bottle...will it last as long as the nitrous bottle, and what is the refill cost?

I think it is supposed to last the entire nitrous bottle and its cheap to fill up and your local paintball store

Hopefully 8 - 10 passes with this system. It will last the whole Nitrous bottle.

It's only Nitrogen or Air, inexpensive.

To each his own!! I like your new set up,however,I could probably fill up approximately 300 bottles for what your turbo's cost. I don't street race so changing bottles at the drag strip just helps fill in all the dead time between rounds.

I fill the Nitrous in Pompano and will fill the NANO at the welding shop up the road from there.

I would like to see results also. I have a friend that is big into NOS and been trying to talk him into a NANO.
