Default Need Help!!

I cant do one thing on my supercharger install without hitting a speed bump. I was about to wire the BAP and be done but I cant find the wiring harness Im suppose to splice into. I removed the drivers side rear inner fender where it should have exposed the fuel pump wiring harness, but there was nothing there. There is no wiring harness there at all. Has anyone ever had this problem? Is there another way to wire it thats not a PITA?

You can intercept the fuel pump feed at the fuse box. I have mine mounted in the battery area along with the ****, very easy.

Ok so how do I do this? I know the fuse is fuse number 13 but how do I know which wire this is that I need to tap into?

Brian

I mounted mine in the battery area, too.

Here is a pic of the fuse box pulled up, and the fuel pump feed wire-light grey-that you can tap into to trigger the bap.
Over to the right side, notice the grey wire with tape over the solder splice.

So am I necessarily going to need a boost-a-pump. Ive seen post with mixed messages. Im not going to run high boost so is it absolutely necessary?

yes install it don't cut corners now. If you upgraded the pump and lines then you might not have to. good luck

I'm not a fan of running a BAP through those cheezy stock wires.I've pulled apart a few melted harnesses caused by a BAP setup like that.

My suggestion..

A BAP is a million times easier to install when using a "Hotwire" harness kit. Not only does this give you larger power wiring to the fuel pump assembly, but its plug-n-play, so you dont have to cut/splice into your fuse panel. You literally just plug in the harness, plug in the BAP, and plug in the fuel pump.

We sell them for 69.95 shipped to your door. Please let us know if you want one shipped out.

I definitely was not suggesting that.

You simply trigger the bap using the stock wire at the fuse box location, and then run a 10ga wire from the bap back to the pump location.

No issues.
