Raptor shift light install help.
I am installing my shift light in the new 2000 project car. It was in my Z but the tach was wired at the coil pack on the motor. After doing some research I found that there is a way to get the signal under the dash. That’s great and that has been my project for most of the afternoon. I have been referring to this link for help. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...pics.html#goto
Here is my problem. I do have three white wires. One is an off white color. I spliced into that wire with a light tester with no luck getting the tach to bump. I then spliced into it with a wire and hooked up the shift light. It did not work. I am starting to wonder what the deal is with the 2000 year. When I was doing the gauge install with instructions from a&a corvette. It said my purple wire would be the switched wire off the trunk release that was powered with the lights on. It ended up being the brown wire. So does anyone have an idea what wire works on the 2000 for the tach signal?

From: ECS : WTF did you break now and HTF did you break it this time
the raptor in my 2000 FRC is wired in off of the ECM.....if you hvae the rest done just run a length of wire to teh passenger kick panel pass it thru the grommet and find the wire coming out of the ECM...
Ok, so I finally got it installed and working properly. My advice to the next guy. There can be four or three white wires to choose from. Test all the wires. When testing the white wires push hard and make sure the light tester is making contact with the wire. I only had the tach jump one time for me.
