Default Boost Issues Magnacharger

I just took the Magnacharger off my friends car last week and installed it on my 02 Z06. It has the 3.2 pulley on it and the first few days I drove it, I was hitting right at 7lbs of boost. Now it is only getting around 3-4lbs. What are some of the possibilities/problems to look for?

Any information would be greatly appreciated, also I am looking for a 3.1 pulley for the car as well if anyone has one for sale!

does your belt have any strange wear.. get a spray bottle and fill it with water and soap and start checking for leaks a leak that big should be easy to spot... since its a roots style might also check the blow off valve/recirculating valve to see if its warn out or broken(not holding boost) my bet is the belt or the valve

Vacuum leak to the by pass valve.

btw. Did you Dyno tune after the install or use the canned tune from Magnacharger?

Bypass valves are prone to failure when removed/installed. That would be my guess.

I think that I may have solved the problem, I havent got to drive it down the road yet but I think its fixed. My brake booster vacuum line going to the front of the intake was routed right under the actuator arm not allowing it to fully extend so the plunger or bypass valve wasnt able to build full boost! I appreciate everyone who posted up their suggestions on what to look at

That is what I was going to suggest. Same thing happened to me when I installed mine. I was so disappointed on the power. One zip tie later and wow factor.

Tell me you did get it tuned before you started jumping on the boost pedal.
