I have used a Spec 3 and a Tex Twin I have not been happy with either.
I am now at 780rwtq and have an RPS twin with added pressure plate tension. The clutch is terrific, smooth engagement, no chatter, nicely mannered. I purchased mine thru Tony Mamo @ AFR.
Singles are presently not available with ACT manufactured wheel - we use Findanza aluminum or steel wheels with ACT.

What steel flywheel weight options are there ? I'm looking for light weight steel wheel / clutch combo.
^^I would like to know the answer to this question also as I am in the market for a new clutch. Car will be used on street only, no drag racing, etc. Motor will be an LS3 with bolt ons and maybe a mild cam.
I've been running the Mcloed Duel disk in my C5 for 5 years now. It works great for me, and is rebuildable for a very reasonable cost.

Agreed. Just took out my McLeod after ~5 years and 50k miles behind 500whp. It looks awesome considering the driving conditions etc. I have pics I can email. I sent it off at lunch to be rebuilt. Customer service there is great as well.

An installer has recommended the Fidanza 6.5. I am targeting 600 RWHP with the planned mods. I have not heard of it before. Has anyone used this clutch or recommends it?
I'm using a Spec twin disk and the pedal effort is light compared to other brands. Its been holding my power 900+rwhp with no problems to report and after a few dragstrip passes its even smoother!
All I did was install the provided shim...no adjustable master and speed bleeders necessary. Shoot, I'm still on the original fluid from GM
I agree 100% on RPS we have been using and selling these clutches for years on extremely high horsepower Supras and Vipers. The corvettes guys that have bought them from us have nothing but great things to say as well. When we needed a clutch for our 2000HP 08 ACR Viper Project, we worked with RPS to create our own line of RSI Branded Clutches by RPS for the Viper. Give me a call and we can get you exactly what you are looking for.
Here are a couple of pictures of our clutches.

Vendors, I need a clutch that will hold ~800ish rwtq. My centerforce puck clutch just grenaded yesterday. Best price you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Im working on a budget. Getting married in two months so a lot of my money is kinda being dedicated to that.. Those RPS clutches look nice but I cant fathom paying $1500 for a clutch
