Default My Buddies G-Machine :)

This is my buddy Speedy's G Machine

This thin has been built to run at events like the silver state classic and these 1 mile type of events where the engines have to run at high rpm for sustained periods of time. No budget build here. As you can see by the components no expense has been spared.

The motor is a 589ci with a Procharger F2 blower. It is intercooled and pretty much every component on this car has had to have custom work done due to the chassis being used. Those header runners are 2.5" each ! For the exhaut to fit under the car he had to have the collectors run hrizontal across the bottom of the car.
Its a carb setup in the pics but he is most likely changing it to a fuely. Its a 1972 Camaro chasiss. I have no interior shots but its like a jungle gym with all the bars ):

yup ..thats Speedy Its sucks knowing that my car will have nuthin on this. It has been a long haul as he has had people take longer than expected with things but it will be crazy once complete. Right now the main thing needed is a tranny to hold the power and heat its gonna generate. It also has to have enough gearing to run 250mph. Its not gonna be a stick car he has decided that. Probably a built auto with gear vendor overdrives.

He has settle driving his wifes 2005 Vette for the last couple summers and taggin along with me to get his fix

I love pro touring cars! That one is going to be a missile with what he has under the hood. Don't think he'll have any belt slip problems

On the engine dyno it made 1380hp and 1245tq at only 15lbs of boost at 5500rpm and no intercooler on pump fuel.

At 7000+ rpm with an intercooler making boost upwards of 30 you can imagine the power this thing is gonna make

WOW! Very nice! Love the old school cars that arent just made into drag cars, I like the drag cars also but these type of builds are so much more impressive to me.

I have a soft spot for the old Camaros. Do me a favor and let us know how that thing does if he goes to the Silver State classic. I don't think there is a more brutal race regarding the stress on everything.

First test for this car will be a Maxon type 1 mile event. If everything test out OK then it will be off to the Silver state classic. The entire chassis was built to spec to meet the unlimited class at the silver state classic.

This is a new Mickey Thompson 345/35/18 on a forgeline 13" wheel. The outside to outside of the wheel is 14" and the tire outside to outside is about 14 1/4".
