Default Clutch replacement

Still toying with installing a supercharger with a 500 RWP goal, but want to install a new clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel before installing SC.
I smoked my clutch last year during a corvette rally, and know that my clutch will not last because I opened it up last week in first gear and the engine reved before I shifted into second. Looking for a clutch for street use and maybe quarter mile strip. Car is 1997, any suggestions would be appreciated. Regards Marty

A Monster stage 3 clutch would work great for your power level. I has good drivability and it is priced right.

I have installed 6 of these now and everyone has loved them. They are a good clutch, drive great and nice pedal pressure.

While your doing the clutch be sure to get a remote bleeder kit ($50), a new GM slave cylinder, and if you have some extra cash get a TICK master cylinder ($300) you will not have another clutch issue with that set up!

Thanks for the info, debating if I want to pay someone to do the work or do it myself, is there a link on how to do this? Thanks Marty

If you are not too mechanically skilled I would pay someone to do it for you. There is more to it than you might think.

As for clutch recomendations.... I have a pretty stock 97 with A&A kit making 494 to the wheels and am really happy with my Centerforce 12" DF clutch and Gripforce F1 flywheel. Pedal feels like stock and engagement is really near stock easy. Good luck....
