Default LS6 Timing

Guys with boosted stock LS6's, how much timing are you running and at what boost? I am not interested in meth timing numbers.

I never bothered to not use meth. I'm running 17* at about 16psi.

The ls6's do not need as much timing as the ls1's when using the oem unported heads.

Interesting, I top out at 15 degrees with 13psi and I use meth. I guess you can call that a conservative tune.

A bone stock LS6 I would be in the 12-14 range to start with.. Some cars like 14 and some only like 12.. Each car to their own

Okay thats exactly where I have mine, and coming from ECS I am more comfortable with where I set it.

I have it ramping down as boost builds so it is approx:

3-4k: 17*
4-5k: 15*
5-6k: 14*
6k+: 12* (around 9psi with 3.8 pulley)

You might be able to push timing back up after the torque starts to drop.
