Dr. Phil...

I just got back from my first long trip I have ever taken in my car, and when I say long I mean more than 150 miles. I drove from the Metro Detroit area to Corbin, KY (about 20 miles north of TN) and back. Not only did I average almost 29 miles to the gallon on the trip but I believe it drove better than a stock one would have.
My Grandma lives up in the mountains, and I stayed with her the last few days. There are some steep inclines and declines, sometimes with traffic lights right in the middle. I had no driveability issues whatsoever. No chugging, no lurching, no bucking, etc. I was able to cruise up hill at 55-60mph in SIXTH GEAR!!! I could not believe it.
I've owned 3 heavily modified LT1 powered F-bodies, 1 heavily modified LS1 powered F body, all with 6 speeds, and by far this car is the easiest to drive.
Anyone, if you are considering Phil to tune your car, or do anything, stop thinking about it, and do it.
Thanks again Phil, I was so happy I almost called you while going up a mountain

However, I have also worked with Phil and if he takes the job he'll follow through. Phil can only do so much, he's one guy.
No reason to diss on him because he was busy and could not work on your car. Try scheduling a referal with some popular Physicians, Lawyers, etc .... and you'll be waiting months to get in if ever.

I have owned 2 cars built by Dr. Phil and if I owned 100 more, they would ALL still be built by him

Phil is only one guy, he does not have a receptionist, etc ... to handle the vast volumes of request that he gets.
I always just sent him a message and if I didn't here from in a week, I would sent another. I know he's a busy guy and you just have to be persistent and keep at it, eventually he'll get back to you.
You must be extremely patient if you can wait for an email response of any kind for weeks at a time. Thats the idea behind email and blackberries. Real world doesn't run like that, but that is my problem.
Spent lots of time at CHOP in Philly. Plenty of doctors around that area I assure you. Dentists are a different story----take lots of days off!

I'm never in rush to do anything, except eat and sleep. At age 51, I have learned to wait and be patient. Big corporations wheels turn very slowly and being a CPA by trade you get use to be put at end of the line.

Yes, CHOP is a great place, if you're a kid but I don't qualify.

Not sure what you were looking to have done by Phil, but it seems like you got what you needed from ECS.
You have to remember that Phil does not solicit business from anyone, all of his work comes by referrals or request.

Keep in mind that he is actually a REAL engineer, which is more than most techs can say.
He builds rock solid, fast cars for his clients, and his follow up customer support is EXCELLENT.
However, he is an engineer and not a customer service rep, so:
If you ask the same question TWICE, you will probably not get a answer, because he spent time answering it already.
If you ask STUPID questions, you might get a response, and if you do, I can guarantee you that it will be funny!
And be very careful stating what you want, because this time you might actually get it!

I'm guilty of ALL THREE!

He did a wonderful job on my car. Not enough words to thank him for all of his help.
