My alky pump hasn't been working for awhile now and I'm trying to figure out exactly whats wrong with it. When I turn the key to the "on" position you can hear the pump making its little whining noise, but when you step on it or push the test button the light stays red. I unhooked the nozzle to confirm that no meth was being pumped. Now when you hold the test button and slowly move the **** from 6 down to around 2 the light will turn green for a second then make a popping sound and cut off completely. If anyone has had this and knows the solution I'm all ears.
My pump was doing something similar. My system in an Alky Controls system. I called Julio, and he had me pull a long bolt from the motor, to see if it was rusted. I did, and there was so much crud on the bolt, I knew the motor had gotten too much water in it and had seized up. I bought a new motor from Julio, and it came with a rubber cover. This new motor works great, and resists water!
What kind of Alky system is it?
If it's Alky Control just call Julio he'll fix you up.

Now.. other thing is your not suppossed to hear anything making sound when you turn the key ON. That means that the "turnon" setting has been set to low and the kit is activating under vacuum. So you need to open the controller and move that dial CW a little until it no longer makes any sound. There is an LED that shows when its activated or not. It needs to be off key on.
Call me and i'll walk you through the pump testing procedure.
