Bummer to see that, glad you found it tho. I've replaced dozens of the stock balancers just on n/a setups alone. I never put a stock balancer back on anymore and I always use a ARP Crank bolt hosed with red-loctite.
I know the situation all to well, where you want to do it right, but either have no time, no money, no choice. At least it's back on the road with a new part. You should go ahead and order the IW OD pulley and ARP Crank bolt and have them sitting in your nice carpet lined garage ready to be swapped.

I know I wish I could of done it the way I wanted. "BUT" I did use RED Loctite on the threads -
RED Loctite is essential - You like the carpeted garage - eeeeh? My work was tossing this industrial 2x2 squares and I opted to do my garage with them - I love it Thanks for noticing
I will be purchasing the IW OD Pulley and when I do the Rack then I'll slap it in
Thanks,Matt ('98 best year Vette by far - I didn't have to deal with the ABS up front since it is located in the back )
Not sure what a new stock balancer costs but as another SFI alternative for those who don't want to drop 5 1/2 bills on one is a Summit Racing Bracket Racer balancer. Can be had for less than $200.
