Let it be known before anyone reads any of this I know absolutely nothing about electronics and wiring stuff up. My buddy helped me install the BAP over a year ago.
Well last night I was cruising around when my car died out. I popped the hood and find that the 5 prong relay had gotten so hot that it started to melt. So I hooked the red wire (the burned up one) to the 5th unused prong (in the middle) and was able to get my car running. I guess it bypassed the BAP and is keeping the stock fuel pump turned on since I could hear the pump coming from the fuel tank while the car was off so I disconnected the wire as soon as I turned off my car.
I figured the wire was probably getting hot because its smaller than the yellow wire with the 30 amp fuse. So I went to autozone to get a larger gauge wire (12 gauge) and a new relay, this time I got a 4 prong 40 amp relay instead of the 5 prong 12V relay. After I had hooked everything up I turn the key to the run position, but do not hear the BAP turn on like I normally can, I try to start the car anyway and it wont start so I'm thinking maybe the BAP is bad now?
Well I think I have it wired up right now and its still not working. I have the yellow wire with the fuse coming off the BAP hooked up to pin 30. The red wire that originally overheated and started to melt which is off the ground on the fuse box going into pin 87. The black wire coming off the neg side of the battery going into pin 85 and the wire from the stock fuel pump (i think thats where it comes from lol) going to pin 86. The car still isn't getting any fuel and you can't hear the BAP turn on when I switch the key to run though. So no go

It's sounding more and more like the BAPO has shorted out and will need to be replaced!
Perhaps calling Kenne Bell and getting them on the horn to help trouble shoot it will be best, they may have some input!
We need to get you measuring voltage with a multimeter. You can get a basic one for around 15 dollars these days. I can talk you through using it. I'm not a big advocate of throwing parts at stuff. I like proving trouble first. You get that volt meter and we'll test some things. If you want to skip all of that and throw parts at it, that's OK too. If after you put on the new parts, it still doesn't fly, get that meter and give me a shout.
