Default Cammed maggie / REDLINE???

Hello,

I need your help from you guys...

I will have my car tuned next week. The tuner asked me what I want to do with my rev limiter. He told me that my setupshould be great for higher RPM.

Here is my setup.

Maggie supercharger without intercooler
3.0" pulley instand of 3.4"
ATI damper pulley (stock diameter)
ECS belt tensionner
Kooks Long tube headers
2 Hign flow cats random technologies
X-Pipe Corsa
Catback Borla
COMP CAM 3728R/3731R .601 and .610 lift, 236 and 242 , 114lsa
Double valve spring + 7.350 hardened pushrod
LS2 timing chain
NGK TR6 gapped 0.035"
3.73 Diff ratio with Manual 6 speed
Stock heads

What would you do with the RPM???

And Can I expect to get 500RWHP on a Dynapack dyno?

Thanks for your help

Set the limiter where it will blow up, minus a few hundred rpm.

You can always shift sooner if that's what makes it go fastest.

Your tuner? I'd think he'd see advantages in spinning a centri faster, but it's hard to see with a Maggie without an intercooler.

No need to spin more than 6500 with that Maggie on top. Your torque curve will reveal that the peak horsepower will be made well before that and you should be shifting shortly after that peak.

Your tuner should be the one telling you where he will set the rev limiter. He should see where the car makes peak power and set the revlimter accordingly, taking into acount rotating assembly and valvetrain sustainability.

the maggie hp will peak well below any reasonable rev limmit on the ls1/6 set your limmiter to protect the engine.

I have mine set at 6500 rpm, shift light at 6250. With a stock LS1 bottom end I'd think this would be safe. You're running more cam but I'm running ported heads and bigger valves with an I/C. A lot will depend on how much timing he can get out of it before knock as far as power levels. I see no reason why this shouldn't make over 500rwhp, how much will probably depend on how much advance he can safely get out of it.
