No need to spin more than 6500 with that Maggie on top. Your torque curve will reveal that the peak horsepower will be made well before that and you should be shifting shortly after that peak.
Your tuner should be the one telling you where he will set the rev limiter. He should see where the car makes peak power and set the revlimter accordingly, taking into acount rotating assembly and valvetrain sustainability.
I have mine set at 6500 rpm, shift light at 6250. With a stock LS1 bottom end I'd think this would be safe. You're running more cam but I'm running ported heads and bigger valves with an I/C. A lot will depend on how much timing he can get out of it before knock as far as power levels. I see no reason why this shouldn't make over 500rwhp, how much will probably depend on how much advance he can safely get out of it.
