I have a 2001 Corvette with a pro charger F1 LS7 and I need a new cam in the car because my wife drives it to work and she doesn't like the cam(232/240 .609 .623 115) that's in it now.But I like the power it makes. I was considering the LPE GT11( 215 / 231 .631" / .644" 1.7 ratio 118).Will I have any trouble with springs, piston to valve clearance, valve seals? What would I need extra for the swap? What kind of horsepower will I make? It makes 800hp and 795 tq now. I run 14 psi of boost the compression is 9.7 and heads are Texas speed and Performance total ported and reworked. What cam do you suggest?
Is the motor an LS7 (427ci)? That cam is small for that displacement and should drive very well if tuned right. A smaller cam will obviously provide better driveabilty and will sacrifice a few ponies, but at your powerlevel I don't think you will notice much.
I'm more suprised your wife doesn't complain about the loud whine that F1 emits
Only one real way to tell how much clearance you're going to get and that's to measure. With your compression, you have dished pistons for sure and that helps your case a ton. There's probably a 99% chance you'll be fine with that lift.
You could also try Andy's A&A Stage 4. It's 220/234 581/598 117lsa and idles smooth. I'll bet you don't lose any power with it either.
Well that is were I have the problem, when the engine was built it had 11.1 compression. We decided not to take out the motor and have the piston changed but instead use .120 Cometic head gaskets to lower the compression.I also went to a bigger pulley to decrease the boost.

You may have killed your quench, but you still increased your PTV by ~.067" by using that gasket. For reference, the MS4 will fit a stock motor and has .649" lift.
