has anybody here used a resistor to pull timing if so what size resistor and details please!!

Why mess with a resistor when you can do anything withtiming within the tune settings? There are more ways and tables to pull timing than you could imagine.

I do it. I use a 220ohm resistor and set my IAT Spark Base table to -9 degrees for 167 and above. Works like a champ.

What he said, . I wouldn't do it on a FI car where i would want to log accurate data to base a tune off of.
solution= hp tuner, ls1 edit, tunercat, efi live.

That thing is pretty cool you might get away with one tune for race and pump gas with that. If you have a boost controller maybe even add a couple pounds of boost if your switch from the ethanol/gas to a straight high octane fuel.
