I am not saying that you can't safely drive a high HP car on the street. My point was that you can't safely use ALL that high HP on most streets! What is the most HP that can be hooked with street tires anyhow (there was a post here and I believe the consensus was 500 to 600 HP)? So how can you safely apply ALL that high HP on suburban streets?
i bet most of those people didnt even have 500-600 hp
its all in the tires. you could probally dead hook with drag radials with 500-600 hp. i hook from 40 on with 750 rwhp on drag radials.
there is a difference between full throttle and half throttle too. you gotta learn how to drive the car

Understanding what you ultimately want out of your build early is key in not spending twice or three times on the same thing.
Sounds like you did it right....enjoy congrats.
Get the 6 point....as it has been said "you have gone this far". Being in the same boat I understand fully where ya are. We should be doing it. My budget says next year....this spring it's Doug's shortblock record at a Champion track rental day....without a 6 point.....kinda silly.....oh well.
These are "R" compound tires. Ya, you can run them on the street but don't get caught in the rain!
You can drive in the rain on them bro,u just have to hqve some common sense,u can't be stupid with any vehicle in the rain as far as that goes,if its raining ,pull over/stop ,let it quit raining before u venture out ,I use to & still do watch the radar before I go on spirited drives & will pull over in a heart beat if I feel like its threatning or jepordizing my life or anyone elses, I also agree that it does take skill to drive high hp cars on the street, for me I didn't get thrown into a high hp car right off the bat,I've owned many cars with limited amounts of hp & they grew in hp as I got older & learned each car, from stock mustangs,to B trim vortechs ,to a 200 shot of nitrous, each car was. Stepping stone to where I am now
