Ok, I picked up a F1, ATI cog kit and bracket off Fleebay the other day. Good deal and was looking for a headunit upgrade anyway, just wasn't sure I wanted to stay w/ Procharger.
So the cog kit has me thinking, what is everyone's stance on these? I think I have only seen 3 guys using them. It is the crank pulley, powersteering, alt, and head unit pulley.
I already have a Flip-Drive, so I would only be using the crank pulley and headunit. I am not goin to spinning that F1 very hard, so the cog may just be overkill.
Input?!?!?!?
If you purchase the flipdrive kit then you can have your own dedicated cog belt running the blower. However, under normal driving conditions and some wot throttle the cog worked well, Hit the rev limiter one time and the belt will break. I ran the cog setup for appx 6 months, and just switched over to a 10rib setup.
Yes I did. No one made a cog belt in kevlar in the length I needed, therefore, I kept breaking belts. At the Holley LS event, guys were breaking 50mm cog belts as well, so for what I do with my vette, the 10 rib will work just fine.

I am not running the cogs. Procharger said I need a 4.75" pulley to keep my boost down around 13#. I don't think w/ that large of a pulley and a Flip Drive I am goin to have slip issues.
So.... anyone intrested in buying a cog set? Sell it for a good price
