My personal project
I installed the new ZR1 trans, re-polished the cradle and clear coated it, installed a new set of Kooks 2" headers and 3" midpipe, cut and welded it to meet the new cut and welded Magnaflow exhaust, put a new charge pipe on between the intercooler and throttle body, installed a LS2 oil pan, added a third nozzle to my alky system, changed to Andy's latest bracket and modified it in a few ways and changed it to 10-rib with help from Arun on ideas for adding tension to the belt and mounting the steering rack.
Here's a few pics. More to come.
new mid pipe with the ends cut off
Mid pipe in place to verify clearance before welding the ring on.
I'm not a very good welder, but I wouldn't scream if I paid a decent price and this is what I got.
It beats driving across town to get it done too.
V-band clamp welded up and clamp is on.

All polished and done!
New Triple nozzle with my new intake pipe on. You can see the 10-rib belt and pulley over there on the supercharger.

I'm starting to get excited!

I like the v-band idea. Yesterday after I pulled my turbos/manifolds/exhaust, I had the idea to have v-bands welded to make it much easier to disassemble. I wish I could weld....

10 ribby FTW!!!

I guess you've seen my track video where I bounce off the rev limiter. It happens so dang fast. This should help for sure.
The cradle was a bear, but worth wrestling. You can see it from a long ways back when I'm on the road.

You can get a MIG and tack it and then take it to a shop to have it finished. I used a MIG for 20 years before buying the TIG this year. I'm learning that fitment is everything to a good looking weld. So is cleanliness and watching your heat. Too much heat on stainless can make a mess of your piece in a hurry. It'll warp the hell out of it.
You had less to type and beat me to it.

I will hand it to ya, I have not motivation to do anything personal when always doing stuff for everyone else.
It came with a LPE motor, supercharger, installation etc. I'm saving it in case the car gets stolen. Since I still have the receipt for it, I'm hoping I'll get my 25k back
I do need to remove it. I gotta find something else to put there. Or....nothing.
