Default Procharged C5 Drivetrain Upgrades

Alright I have been looking around and can't find exactly what I'm looking for so I thought I would just ask the pro's. Weather in Michigan is getting better and decided to pull the Vette out and start brainstorming my next set of goodies. It goes in the Shop in two weeks for some drivetrain stuff LVL5 RPM 6 Speed, Pfadt Diff Brace, Pfadt Motor mounts and stuff of that nature so i dont break anything at the track. My question is im trying to decide if I just need the Left side Hardened Output shaft or if you guys think I will need both. Most places that sell them just say "For severe duty you can also get the right side shaft" What would be considered severe duty. Car is making around 700rwhp and hasn't seen the track yet since the Procharger upgrade. Thanks

If you really want to get some 1/4 mile passes out of her I'd
get the C6 Z06 30 spline main shaft for the tranny while it was
being redone and get the C6 Z06 diff/subframe. I just replaced
my diff(spilt case) and broken main shaft with a 30 spline. I did
not go with the C6 Z06 case/subframe because I don't plan on
going back to the track, but I did go with the re-splined pinion,
c6 z06 pinion carrier, output shafts, carbon clutch packs and have
an ecs brace and tranny already had level 5 upgrades done.
Call Rick at RKT56.COM He is in Maryland and really does great
work on C5/C6 tranny and diff upgrades.
Good luck to you,
Wayne

If you are going to look at the point better safe than sorry. But again I am thinking you should be fine only pushing 700 rwhp. With only the left side in it. I am getting all the stuff up now to do the C6 Z06 cradle chg out in my car now but I am pushing 273 more at the rear wheels than you are. And also going from Level V to a Level VII A4 trans from RPM.... Robert

It sounds like your on the right path using an RPM transmission. If you want some additional serious parts take a look at The DriveShaft Shop website and lookup the Corvette parts they have... In my opinion you cant get any better than an RPM & DSS combo!
