189 mph
After installing our s/c which put out 515 rwhp, and after having a new paint job, I was cruising at 2000 rpm which indicated 63 mph in 5th gear. There are a couple of road races in Nevada that you can open up your car on long straights, and I would think that with the s/c we should be able to get to 6000 rpm in 5th gear, which would put us at a top speed of 189 mph. Maybe a little less, maybe a little more. It is truly amazing what these guys are doing "going over 200 mph in one mile from a standing start".
Has anyone taken their s/c car to the Silver state Challange race?
We ran it twice with our 240ZV8. 161mph... I would think the Vette should be a little faster.
