He's a tuner but doesn't have an actual shop here right? Does he just go to local shops wherever he's tuning at?

Hey Renegade00,

I got your message late yesterday as I was on the dyno all day. I actually have two more clients coming today to tune also, but I will try to call you in between.

As an FYI I will be in the Orlando area next Friday after a two day stay at a shop in Pam City.

Talk to you soon.

Renegade00, I am running 540 RWHP @ 6400 RPM and 9.6 Lbs of boost and over 450 RWTQ in a Mustang Dyno. I have the LPE fuel pump and to be sure I have no fuel problems because the rating of the LPE fuel pump is 550 at the crank, we added the boost a pump. I do have the FAST 92 intake with the LS2 TB, which I like. Definitley I would add the BAP.

I would personally leave the intake, your not going to gain much at all with boost. I would bet the fuel pump with the kit would be fine with meth injection since you are technically lowering the fuel requirements of the pump with the added meth, but adding a BAP would certainly not be a bad idea.

For your set up I would suggest opening up the restrictor plate a bit to up the boost to ten lbs, add the meth injection, and relocate your IAT sensor after the meth nozzle so it is recognised by the PCM so safeties can be tuned in.

That should yield an easy 550-600rwhp, with longevity.
I have almost the same set up as you with Alkey and a BAP, I took a 1/16 in. off the restrictor plate and made 611HP safely, my tuner said he could probably get 620-630hp, but my goal was 600 so I stopped there. You should reach 600hp on 10lbs with no problem, as long as you have a good tuner!

Renagade, we have the same set up almost exactly, I have an 01 to your 00 but that is 10-20hp difference, if you install an Alkey kit with a good tune, you will see 600HP w/10lbs no problem!!!! all the best to you!

That's what I'm hoping for ! I'm glad we have very similar setups so I can kind of compare and get a ballpark number of what to expect.

My old car I had 642 rwhp on a conservative dyno with the following setup

Stock 80k ls1 short block
Stock Ls1 intake TB MAF
317 heads to lower compression
223/228 cam 115lsa
Lg Pro long tubes
Snow Meth kit.

If your goal is around 600 stay with LS1 intake with boost there's not a lot to gain.

Cool good to know

I am considering doing some heads down the road and it seems it would make more sense to do the intake then instead of now.
