I am considering adding the Procharger P-1SC-1 7psi to my 2004 (LS1) 100% stock. She's my DD but several times during the year I'll attend events like the vettes 4 vets @ Talladega. My Vette easily gets to 135mph but wondering if adding the Procharger would make a big or even a noticeable difference reaching that speed or beyond? Your advice is greatly appreciated. From there I will determine if it's worth the $8000.
My 2003 all stock LS1 went from 304 rwhp to 465 rwhp with the Procharger and LG LT Headers added. You don't say if you have a 6 spd or A4 auto - mine is auto so I had a 3.42 diff put in to replace my stock 2.73. If you have a 6 spd, you already have the 3.42. Don't know what my top speed is but the car rockets and I know top speed will reach well over 135
Dude seriously go either a&a or ecs . . .and id do like a t trim,d1sc, or novi. leaves you alil more room to grow cause boost is very addictive . . .oh and hugggeeee differance. I mean your adding like 150rwhp
Thanks cal45, I also have the auto trans. On a straight I had my Vette up to 166mph but it does take a while to get there.
The price I have for the ProCharger is $6K and my mechanic is expensive!
I'm looking at both A&A and ECS and going through the threads here to see if I can learn anything.
THANKS For the help, I really appreciate it!
Take notice how the guys who purchase the cheaper kit usually upgrade which costs
more money in the long run for additional labor, tuning, down time, etc.
Budget to upgrade your trans (I recomend RPM Transmissions, like everyone else here) Your stock trans may last for years or days, depending how you handle the extra power.
I thought about myself for awhile. The only regret I have is I wished I would have done it sooner! The greatest thing about it is the power is there only when you want it. The only upgrades I had on the the car was B&B exhaust, Blackwing intake, and LS6 manifold. Made 331RWHP on a M6, after the A&A SC made 540RWHP My tune was very conservative, no slip on the stock clutch, and still getting great gas milage. ( when I keep my foot out of it! ) While in traffic it's street manners are the same as stock. I've only had the SC for a short period of time and I know the stock clutch will have a shorter life span now. I've got a new LS7 clutch waiting in my garage waiting. Plan ahead on upgrading things as mentioned earlier, I've got a ESC trans brace being installed next week to add strength to the rear and for peace of mind. I hope this helps for what it's worth. You will love it!

I agree with JT, wish I would have done it sooner. I am on a stock motor thru stock manifolds making 540 rwhp and 490 rwtq, the difference is amazing. Drives likestock around town but press the go and ya better pay attention. As for getting to 135 quicker, ya you will get there quicker and you will notice.
Thanks Guys!!! From the sounds of it the A&A is the way to go. My big concern is that I'm going to harm pistons with a blower. I had been told the stock pistons in Corvettes are not designed to handle a SC and may even be destroyed by NOS. I had also seen ads "SuperCharged Vette For Sale (has burnt pistons but still runs)".

Thanks For all your help!
I've been running 8-9psi for 4 years and 27k daily driven miles. She even saw snow in April up in Utah. She's using oil now, but it was expected. She was supercharged at 107k and has 134k now on the stock long block and stock clutch. If you have a healthy motor and a good tuner, it should last you years.

What kind on WHP are you putting down with 8-9 psi
