I checked around and Toluene is selling for just under $15/gal. Tell me what you guys think.
And as for my fuel mileage problem - it's still there even after Andy adjusted the tune. Dealer couldn't find anything wrong with any sensors either, so I'll be taking it back to Andy this week.

I also saw something in the Summit Racing catalog that you install in-line and/or drop into your tank and it supposedly boosts octane to some ridiculous level, anyone know about that?
Klotz is excellent. I use it all the time. I mix 1 to 1.5 oz/per gasoline gallon depending on how warm it is outside.
I buy 1 gallon cans of it for like $54 shipped.
Supposedly it bolts on and raises 91 octane to 93 (at least that's the implication) and comes with a 5 year/250K mile warranty. The corvette kit is about $250. Anyone have any experience with this product?
Torco does leave that reddish color all over everything and even though it bothered me to see my afr sensor covered in it, it didnt seem to affect its readings. The stuff sure works tho. I tried Klotz and it seemed to work just as well with no reddish coatings everywhere so in my mind anyway I liked it better just because of that.

Given enough time (and it's not that long) the reddish stuff becomes an issue.
I started using and Klotz and it was so good that I did the buy-in and became a dealer.
Torco has been around a long time, and is a proven octane booster. I've seen the inside of my motor and heads over the years, and it's never looked anywhere near that bad. Any parts/motor failures that I've had over the years, have never been attributed to any build up of Torco, but from hard driving combined with previous mec errors...
There are those that think if you use more then the reccommended amount, it will work better. This may account for some of the pics above, the other reasons these pics were chosen are obvious...

I guess it seems that either one you use it should be good, at least if I decided to use either or on track days I would be fine -
It might come down to availability or buy Race Fuel at the track! Ouchy!
My ex-employer (refinery) use to make up the fuel for Bobby Unser since they sponsored him and a main ingredient for his race fuel was toluene.
Toluene has also been used as a blending agent for keeping methanol from dropping out when adding more the 10% methanol to gasoline.
Ethanol does not need a blending agent so it is not necessary when blending e85 or various % of it.
Toluene is also better then xylene in race motors as the rate of speed burn can be used with high winding formula cars. Xylene has a slightly higher octane (~2 points) but burns slower.
