Robert,
Do you mean the little black "TEST" button switch? The one you press to test the kit?

How old is the kit?

I will check this almost new batt with auto zone today. But it never did give me any problems on a start up. The car did die on me ever time I started it after this until I pulled the plugs and chg them. I did give Julio a call he told me what to do, are to mail back to him and he would chg for free. Less than a 2.00 part I put in a new part and only 1/2 tank of meth and it is back up and working good now. Robert

Old controllers from like Pre-2005 this can happen if "Turnon Point" is set very low and battery voltage on car drops below 9v with Ignition ON. Newer controllers after 2006 cant happen

There was a post on this forum 5 years ago we would correct any controller sent in.. free of charge. Only 1 was sent in.

Cant happen on a C6 since power only runs when FP is running.

I've seen where the little cap comes of the top of the switches, but that doesnt short it. I guess if the plunger comes out the switch it could short. Though i've never seen it happen.

Two things, one is the test button when it activates only puts a few volts on the pump.. so its not like a 250 PSI pump is running wide open.. more like 30 PSI. The LED that shows the kit is activated also lights up anytime the system is spraying.

Is the turnon LED not in a visible place you can see it?

Glad the simple part solved it.. just making sure things like LED that tell you system is spraying is visible to help prevent any future issues at the same time save troble.

Make sure the switch was a normally open switch not a normally closed one.
Normally open closes contact when you press them. Normally closed are shorted until they are pushed.
If you have any trouble, send the box in or call me during the week.
