Hey Wes, I am thinking about new mounts as well and was also wondering if its worth it. There is a guy selling new polyurathane engine mounts on the forum. I saw the post a week or so ago. I think I might go with those in the future. How is that motor coming along, what cubes did you go with?

Im hoping it will be back together by the end of July???? Ive been pretty busy lately so who knows. Im going with a 383 stroker
So everything just feels much tighter? any vibration at cruise speeds? I have the DTE differential brace coming.
If you have any rattles, shakes, creeks or groans these mounts will find them, and there's nothing you can do about it. I had solid mounts in a turbo honda. It will make you not want to drive it everyday.
Can you explain what you like the best about them?
I love the stiffness this gives my driveline. Yes, it does vibrate at idle a little, but, that is ok, because I know when I nail it, nothing is twisting, and all the force is going in the rear wheels.

I at the statement he made are how the his car does. He is also a hard core race guy he would tell you if it didnt work also...... I have had almost ever piece of stuff that they make on my car. All of there stuff works and make a diff,s for the best in what it says it will do... Robert
I also have the Pfadt coil overs, and the Pfadt street sway bars on my car. I installed a 3/8" tunnel plate as well. This car will corner flat no matter what you do with it!

I have pulled 2 diff sets of coilovers off the car and sold to someone that use them for the track. The Pfadt feels the best on the street with the vette to me. the thick tunnel plate makes a big diff.
Are the vibrations only heard at idle? I know every car will have different sounds/where they come from but how do you determine exactly if its caused from the mounts?
Had a snapped timing chain ruin my ls6 so when a new ls3 crate was dropped in I had some pfadt motor mounts installed to go with my pfadt rear differential brace that was already installed. I also have their coilovers but just want to detect if the noise that is heard now isn't from the chain snapping while in gear and possibly damage something else on the drivetrain like the torque tube bushings. Or if the sound heard now is just from the solid mounts.

Uhm, the C5 drivetrain is designed in such a way that engine torque isn't transferred to the motor mounts, as with open driveshaft cars. Any twisting is linked to the engine through the torque tube, not the frame and motor mounts.
I won't rule out psychological benefits associated with aftermarket parts though, and my car feels a lot faster after installing the urethane muffler hangers.
