Default Too much boost causing REP?

When I rev above 6200ish and let off the throttle the car will go into reduced engine power and hold about 2500 rpm until I delete the codes. It doesn't do it every time but I'd say it's about a third of the time. In my mind what's happening is that when I let off the throttle it's telling the throttle body blade to close but the boost isn't letting it until it bleeds enough off so it's going into rep because the pedal and tb don't agree. I've got a big red race valve and it's as open as it'll go. I'm running an LS2 90mm throttle body. Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks,
Alex

Update: The code was p1515 (command vs actual throttle position error). We swapped throttle bodies and that fixed it.

I am sure it's something simple. Kris will be back off vacation next week and be able to check it out. Mine used to do it when LMR didn't scale injectors back and would max out grams per cylinder. I saw your tune and it's not that.

I wish I was going to be around so he could but I'm leaving before he gets back so I was hoping somebody on here had seen this before.

Pull and post up the codes using the DIC and post them. Will be 1278, P0102,P0103 and then the problem. Usually P1516 or P1514, but could be P0106.

I had Kris turn the codes off hoping that would fix it so I'm only getting those first three, but I think I remember it being 1516.

Are you spinning the tires and pedaling the car when this is happening? Get those codes turned back on so we can get some hard data.

no tire spin. hopefully I'll have a chance to run it to Kris mon morning before it hit the road to get those codes turned back on.

I just got done doing some "troubleshooting" and it seems to be more dependent on what rpm it is when I roll into it. If I try the initial hit above 4k it seems to happen 100% of the time. that may not be the exact rpm but it's somewhere around there.

Are you trying to read the codes before resetting the PCM? You'll erase them if you do..

I returned from vacation and turned the ETC codes back on. I didn't want to turn them off but to satisfy Alex I did so anyway. No way to know whats causing problems if the codes are off. The car was throwing a P1515 code. Commanded and actual TP are not within calibrated range. I replaced the TB and problem went away. I think the car now has every bug worked out. Time to enjoy the car Alex!
