Hey guys I am removing my pedals for a auto to manual conversion.. do I have to remove the steering column? I already dropped the 2 bolts and all of the other bolts that secure the pedals in under the dash. It seems to be getting stuck on 2 studs that are welded to the steering column. Any input would be appreciated. It is loose like I said it appears to be just catching on those 2 studs directly on the column... Thanks
The clutch pedal assembly bolts on the side of the main brake pedal bracket with 3 nuts. Straight forward removal. The brake pedal only has one pivot point (bolt and nut), it is pretty hard to get to but we do it all the time. The column does not need to be removed or dropped.

Robert.... I hope to see you in Indy this weekend at the LSX Shoot-out. I kept an eye out for you in BG but never saw you. If you make it up , stop by and I'll buy you lunch.
So basically leave the complete pedal assembly in the vehicle and just remove the brake pedal itself. For the smaller manual one a.d the clutch assembly bolts to the side of the main assembly? If so I just made it a lot more work for myself
Got the bolt out earlier I pulled a lot more apart than I had to it is actually very simple once you know what you are pulling apart... 15 minutes actually, thanks Rodney
As a tip to people there is a 13 mm bolt and the bolt side is a 15 mm on the right side if you take a 6 inch 3/8 drive extension with a deep 15mm coming from the right side you will see a small channel pull out the insulation hanging down slide it in onto the nut than attach the 3/8 drive ratchet and hold tight than using a 13mm wrench loosen nut. Don't shy away from this guys it isn't a horror story like people make it out to be once I put in new one I will post pics of 15 minute install .... Thanks Rodney
