whats up guys, i have a c5Z06 with a nitrous outlet wet kit.. right now im running a 150 shot, i forgot what the jets were but they are jetted according to the nitrous outlet chart. I am running br7ef plugs and have 5 degrees pulled.
After doing nitrous pulls i tend to put my car into neutral , when i do that my RPMs drop extremely low, like to around 300 and fluctuates through the rpms under 1000. I give it gas to keep the RPMs up but im curious to why is it doing this..After doing pulls i now keep the car in gear to keep the RPMs up.
I'm thinking the motor is just tryen to burn off the access fuel from the nitrous pull but i don't think it should drop that low in RPMs
Is there a wideband on the car? Or can you log a pull and look to see if it's a little lean, or fat, after a pull? Old 5.0 mustang are notorious for this, after a pull, if you'd push in the clutch, they would die. Was always mass airflow sensor realated. When I was spraying my vette before the blower, I sprayed up to a 225 with no issues. Good Luck, and try to log it.
Probably due to residual fuel in the intake. You're spraying a bunch of fuel out of that plate and it's not a direct port. You all of the sudden shut it down and I expect that to happen. I blow blue flames out the back of my car when I shut down due to the residual methanol.

Some guys said you were doing that all the time....

Very well could be, especially if he is running more fuel pressure, or a bigger fuel jet, as stock jetting is super rich. It has been said that the perimeter plates still have enough fuel in them when the solenoid closes that it "leaks" a little after a pull. But, with that being said, I have a Harris perimeter and do not have that issue.
