Nitrous question
We all know nitrous kits are rated at various horespower levels. From what I've seen on dyno charts they seem pretty acurate, in that there is say a 95-105 hp increase at all RPM points when activated on a 100hp rated system. I can see how the torque increase could be a constant given a fixed flow of N20 and fuel, but since HP is a funtion of RPM, [TxRPM]/5250 how can HP be a constant HP increase? Am I missing something or am I looking at fudged dyno charts?

If you take "X" amount of nitrous and "X" amount of fuel and burn it, you get "X" amount of power. You're right horsepower is a function of TQxRPM/5252, it's just that "X" amount of nitrous and fuel is a constant and therefore will have a larger impact on torque at lower RPM's. Airflow efficiency isn't a constant, so that's why you don't get equal torque from your engine throughout its range.
