Trying to get the car ready for install and will be needing some help.
Going to post random questions in here.
At this point I have the plugs changed. I have removed the cai, maf, radiator shroud, fans, sway bar bolts and about a pound of dirt that was stuck between the radiator and condenser
I'm stuck on the step where you have to disconnect the rod end.
The directions say is Step "2.4 Loosen the 18mm nuts that connect the rod ends of the rack to the steering knuckle."
Am I supposed to remove both of the upper and lower 18mm nuts on the rod ends? (see pic below) Am I supposed to remove them on both sides?
The idea is to drop the sway bar down enough to pin the crank.
Couldn't I just remove the bolt (red arrow) and drop that passenger side sway bar down enough instead of popping out the tie rod end?
The nuts you want to remove are the ones that connect the tie rod ends to the steering knuckle. In the pictures it looks like the wheels are still on the car, you need to take them off to get to the nuts. You have to remove the steering rack not just lower the sway bar to get to the balancer.
Ok, so tie rod end ended up being very easy after getting the wheels off. I also got the power steering cooler off and moved out of the way.
Now it looks like there is two bolts that hold the steering rack in place and one steering shaft bolt. After those three bolts are out, the steering rack should be able to be slid out of the way, correct?

I am doing the install also on the vette. The rack once you get the hydraulic lines disconnected pushes to the driver's side and you can lift up the passenger out of the way. I'll take a pic and post it later.

Install was put on hold. The "rear supercharger bracket" has a bolt that goes into the head. I couldn't get the bolt to go all the way in. We triple checked that it was the correct bolt. Figure we will have to tap the bolt hole and clean a build up of dirt out to get the bolt in. Anyone else have trouble with this?
Thanks for this thread, it is helping me with my decision on whether to turbocharge or supercharge my car, so far its looking like this is still an easier install.
I'm working on the long tube that connects the 3" aluminum piece off the supercharger outlet and the intercooler. Does this go under the sway bar or on top?
Any pics out there?

LoL I started a thread expressing concern about taking on this project.
Everybody says "do it, we are here to help". Then I can't even get a couple easy questions answered now that I started installing.
I had some problems with one of those bolts are well. I cleaned the threads with a small wire brush and wd40. I then sprayed wd40 on the bolt without trying to mount the bracket. After I turned it in significantly I started to use a socket wrench. It was a little tough, but after taking it in and out a few times I went ahead and mounted the bracket with sc.
That tube should go below the sway bar I believe. I will look when I get home and post if different.

Thanks a lot I appreciate it.
We ended up getting the bolt in after spraying high pressure cleaner in the hole. Bunch of dirt and crap came out.
