Default Crank Pin Question

I am installing a Maggie to my C5 and have the Pink kit, minus drill and pin. Magnuson wants a fortune for these things... does anyone know the specs and or where to find them? Is a new crank bolt required after i pin the crank or ok to reuse to original?

• size/type of drill bit
• pin size
• How deep to drill

Thx!!

If you decide to go new kit, here is a link to order from our website.
Yes, you need a new crank. You can not re-use the stock crank bolt. It's a TTY style bolt. One time use.

I will be purchasing one from you guys soon.

When you pull the balancer back off, how do you line the balancer back up with the hole previously drilled?

That's the problem with pinning the crank from the end, and that is the reason I used the ATI pin kit that pins it perpindicular to the crank.

You can tap the crank pulley on enough and twist it until the hole is lined up. Jam the pin in there and start tightening it down. You will know if it's misaligned because you wont see the crank pulley moving closer in. It's best to have 2 people do this IMO

If you pull balancer back off, then you line it back up best you can and press balancer back on. If you get it close enough you can just go back in the hole with your 1/4 drill bit and "clean-up" the hole.
