Default Fuel SYS Question

I have an 04 C5 with a P1SC kit on it. My fuel pump just went out and when I took it to the dealership they were cool about fixing it under the extended warranty, so that saved me about $2300. I'm fairly certain that my MSD BAP burned up my fuel pump, so I have already ordered a replacement for the MSD. I waiting on the ECS BAP to arrive and then I'll install it using a new racetronix wiring harness. The wiring harness on it now looks like it got really hot at some point. I've been reading a lot about fuel system requirements for a certain amount of horse power and on a few threads there was mention of a return fuel line. I thought my car already had one, but now I'm not so sure. Does my car have a return fuel line. Then I thought maybe there talking about when you add a second fuel pump you need a return line, but I went back and read through them again and sure enough the recommendation for my HP level was 60lb inj, BAP, and return fuel line. So is this something I need to add to my fuel system. Thanks for the info.

I dont think an 04 has a return line.
A return system with a rail mounted reg allows for better flow even with a stock pump. The racetronics harness should help. Im looking at doing both too, with a better single pump.
Did you upgrade the pump? The stealership probably put a stocker back in.
$2300? Seriously? Thats outrageous. Lucky you were covered.
BTW what is your HP level?

late model 03 and 04 do not have a return lines in the car. With 60 lb inj,s in the car now and no return line you are going to have big problems, with this set up in the car as you or saying now.I gave you a message man.. Robert

No I didn't get to upgrade the pump. The dealership said he would put one in for me, but I would lose my fuel level sensors. I didn't understand why, but that basically told me he didn't want to do it. As far as HP I'm making 593 rwhp and 697 chp. The reason I need the return line is I installed an Alky methanol injection kit and according to my tunner, I'm on the edge of not supplying enough fuel and the methanol was putting me on the raged edge of not supplying enough fuel. In fact he he said it was to close for him to feel the car would operate safely, so he had to back it down a little until I can get that little extra I need. I'm hoping the return line will let me get that little bit I need, so I don't have to upgrade to a stage 2 fuel system right now. I wanting to put money towards 20 x 12 rear wheels & 19 x 9.5 front wheels and wider tires.
