Had my friendly speed shop install my shorty Dewitts with the c6 bypass capable hoses. It turned out to be a very tough install with the shop eventually dropping the front cradle to get the lines in. They estimated about a four hour job which turned into about 6 1/2 (great guys, they only charged for 4). The 90 mile ride home showed a slight drop in previous oil pressure but my oil and air temps were around 200-205 with 92 degree weather.
My question is oil level, which can be tricky since it appears the EOC sucks up about a quart. Are there any tricks/tips with respect to checking it? I'm assuming that I need to be sure that it's in the normal stick range before the EOC oil drains back down into the pan.
