may get a little bonus coming so I'm considering going UPSCALE on the TTiX build.

looking hard at the ERL superdeck stuff which looks really nice

like to put together a 427 short block and need input on good 6 bolt heads. probably stay with a LS7 intake so I'll be shopping for used ones.

I don't need anything too exotic on the heads. just starting to do the homework.

I'll contact ERL and report back on some options.

wisdom of many council. the RWHP target would certainly go UP if I can afford to do this.

I'm not very familiar with ttix kits but I've been around turbos a lot. I think the ttix kit uses t3 turbos and if so I'd be careful on going to big with the ci of your motor. It will cause some backpressure issues in the higher rpms when running high boost levels.

Do you already have a ttix kit?

yes, I have a ttix installed on the car already. the current build is an LS6 with AFR 225 heads making 800 at the tire at 17.5 psi

I agree that a big displacement motor isn't the way to go.

looking to go with a big bore short stroke or just stay stock 346

the ttix has hybrid t3/t4 turbos (62-62 I think)

I have some bigger .84 housings, and upgrading to 3" champion downpipes to relieve the choke point a bit but the t3 exh flange is a real limiting factor.

I think a stock engine size might work better as you recommend.

maybe 370 ci at the largest. like to stay with the ls6 block.

thinking of just redoing what I have and go with billet main caps, and 1/2 cyl studs.

I think that would increase reliabilitty. the ls6 in there now has a tapping noise that might be a loose wrist pin, bad piston, or rod bearing going away. oil pressure is good, and no junk in the oil that I can see. I'm going to drain it into a clean pan again and cut open the filter and see what that shows, maybe do an oil analysis

looking for good "builders" in the NOVA area that can pull it apart to see what's going on and refresh the engine I have rather than "going big"

car actually performs pretty well even at 600 at the tire which is what I typically run at 12 psi boost (no meth)

thanks for your help!
