I'm going to take a shot at fixing the current LS6 in the TTIX TT car.
any good corvette shops that you feel confident trouble shooting this problem. I think the engine has a bad wrist pin.
I have a light knock that goes from just off idle to 1800 and then gets quiet. oil pressure is good, no junk in the oil, engine runs great
might be something else in the drivetrain. before I buy another engine, I'd sure like to trouble shoot this first!!
ECS can certainly do it, but I'd like to check it out before taking the car up there if possible to avoid the possibility of engine failure driving it up. rather spend the money on fixing it locally if possible
It's under 200 miles for you. Use an auto shipping company and ship it up there. It's not that expensive considering. If you shop around you can get a decent deal. I did it (RPM is about 170 miles from my place)
Problem solved. No need to look around for a shop that you don't know.
