fuel system
For those that have run it, is there any issues with the stock fuel rails (specifically the better 98 system with return) supplying 750-800rwhp?

I know everyone says it, but I think I can be satisfied in the 800rwhp range if I can get there. I am at 700 now and it is a little hard to handle at times.
I do know I don't want to have to update all of the fuel system....

Most guys go to ls2/3 rails when going over 7/800. ECS states on their website that upgrading to LS2 rails is recommended with their fuel system.

I have read in the past that the early (98 style) systems with the return lines were capable of a little more hp than the later style, but have no personal experience with it.

Your stock rails are fine... having returnless vs. return style fuel system is a more deciding factor than what rails you're running.
I think aftermarket rails are more for having more and easier plumbing connections than they are for flow...
