Hey ya'll. Is there anyway to have a "Valet" or "Limp" mode switch to keep the valet's from going Ferris Bueller's Day Off on me?
You could use HPtuners to set the rev limiter to 2000 temporarily if you wanted or engage a 2-step of any sort with a bypass switch to make it think you've met all the conditions for 2-step mode with it set at 2kRPM. You could also drill and tap the other side of the BOV and put a solenoid on it that when activated would open the air circuit to the back side of the diaphragm and apply any boost to the front side thereby opening the BOV and bleeding off any boost made.
get your own licensed copy of HP-tuners and set the rev-limiter to 2000rpm (this is what I do).
The wastegate idea won't work becasue they still have the ability to go full throttle. Even with no boost, someone can still get carried away with the power these cars make
HP Tuners is pretty dang expensive. Too bad it doesn't run on Android then you could integrate it into a Parrot Asteroid in conjunction with Torque Pro. One can dream
It probably wouldnt be that difficult to wire up a box that would reduce the signal output of the throttle position sensor. Flip a switch and the pedal all the way to the floor is only 20% throttle or some such.

I'm going to look into this a bit more. I am sure the google can help get me in the right direction. I can just see the Valets at my work going nuts with my car.
Why not just wire a low current draw relay into the IAT circuit? That way you can command -12 degrees of timing and a 16AFR, for example) above 2.2krpm. and it would cost about $12 in parts and a couple of minutes with the laptop.
