based on the fact i am wanting to build a vette reliable with 500-600whp... i am looking for an auto vehicle to start with and i am wandering how much you had to do to get your car's trans and rear-end to be reliable.. i know the engines are damn stout on there own... but i am worried about the rear components..

just depends how you drive it and if you run the 1/4 mile! the factory drive train is strong! but 600rwhp will kill a auto trans in time

best thing you can do is go ahead and upgrade the stock transmission to the RPM stuff good insurance hers a link to RPM so you can get a idea what you can do!They are the only ones doing it right

Awesome, did you pay the standard RPM rebuild fee? Also, did you send your converter out for a cut & clean?

Thanks Chris, I think I may pulley up and lower the boost and enjoy it more, I just don't know if I will need a retune with a SD tune? I would leave it alone but I know I cant keep my foot out of it

With SD, on lower boost it will compensate for you. Works the other way too, after initially dialed in at the higher level.

Damn they turned that thing around freakin fast!! 10 days including shipping? Holy crap that's gotta be a record.

What did they find wrong with it? I assume its a full rebuild with all fresh clutches/bands etc etc.

All this auto tranny failure talk is scaring me..lol
