Drew, in my looking at them most make them up and all is welded in to not be removed. Other than the unhook to pull the chute totally off the plate..But it does look like you could make up a plate to bolt to a second plate then just unbolt one from the other from inside the back of the car. Just use APR bolts. Robert

I saw a Nova that had the patachutte hidden behind the license plate. Not sure if that's possible on a C5.

I did mine myself, trying not to cut into the bumper.Have a quick release on the inside, whole pack/mount assy comes off for the street.Pretty easy setup.

Behind the bumper cover I have two brackets at 45deg angle to the impact bar.The end of the tube(socket) is welded to a flat plate that extends over the top of the impact bar and is welded to the backside of impact bar,I will have to see if I have any pics.I havent used it yet, wasnt able to put together a clean pass with the Auto. The release cable comes out the vent on the dr side inner fenderwell near LR tailight,I pull it up inside when its not attached.

Thank you. That was a VERY important part of putting the chute on.I didnt want to disturb the outward appearance of the car, same with the battery cut switch,we just unscrew the handle from the heim joint and you cant tell its there.

That's a killer setup. I might have you copy it on my car

Just curious, what does it look like from the trunk?

I think a lot of will be now. Nice stealth look. The police hate when you drive around town with no front or rear plate, and a parachute on the back lol.
