Specs and dimensions are on their website....

TRTTC9:
Core Size, 25" X 9" X 3.5"
1-3" outlet and 2-2.5" inlets
Outlet is angled 15 degrees
1950 CFM flow rate
1300 HP efficient
2psi pressure drop at 1950cfm

Sounds to me like everyone that has actually used/is using them are happy with them.

If you don't want the 3" outlet, then someone can order just the core or modify it. Guess I would then ask what is the actual flow area through the throttle body on the car?

The only one that has had a negative report in here for these is ECS, who has their own product offering...

How much power can you pick upgrading from a 3'' to 4'' pipe to the throttle body on a car running a novi 1500/2000?

I do not have direct numbers sorry, but there is a power difference, for instance back in the 90's an upgrade to the Paxton Mustang kit was a larger duct and it would pick up power directly from the swap. More so then the ducting though is the outlet diameter creating a bottle neck.

BS the outlet is to small.
ok, that was funny. Obviously Ricky's car gets it done! I'm a nit picker, thats my job, winning is often done by fractions. Good is good, better is better.

I will be running the treadstone intercooler on my car. My brother owns an "Import" shop and he ran this intercooler (TTRC9) on his 1000hp 2.0L Acura Integra with great results. His car was running 40+ psi with a precision 72mm turbo and saw hardly any boost drop and the IAT's were controlled very well acutally dropping 20+* from start of 1/4 mile to finish (I've seen the logs), car ran 8.8's@174. Although placement was directly in the front bumper which will see better aiflow than most us C5 owners will see, however after seeing these results I am sold on it especially for the price.

you know the reason i was hesitant to pick up one initially was because the pic in the web ad looked awfully small for the dimensions it listed. now that i have actually seen a life size photo of the intercooler, it looks absolutely perfect.

doug - i value your opinion and you say this is terrible build quality. am i to expect longer years of service out of an ecs intercooler vs this one? i'm having a hard time understanding the quality of this because i've seen some really crappy intercoolers before from ebay, but even those worked as expected.

both inlet and outlet are 3 inches. this is more than enough for my needs and anyone making less than 4 digit power. how much larger do you want the piping anyway?? does anyone have any research numbers of how much more air charge is capable of being compressed between 3, 3.5, and 4 inch piping? i can't imagine seeing much benefit in 4 inch charge piping if i don't have a 102 mm intake and tb. likewise - i would need a 92mm intake and tb for 3.5 inch piping. and then we get into the conversation of lag..could i even make the determination that i would spool up a split second faster with smaller piping? remember the whole point to redoing my intercooler setup is to be more efficient..

what is everyone's thoughts on running piping around drivers side or passenger side from passenger side mounted head unit?

I have this intercooler. Seems to get the job done. 16psi from a V2 on a 383. Not sure what the power is just yet. 3" on both ends. I'd buy it again if I build another car.

I have the smaller brother to this that's rated to 968 whp. Happy with mine at 817 whp. Thinking I need to go bigger if I add anymore hp though.

ECS here I went with the biggest one that Doug has and you can't put a bigger one in the c5. Very nice but just will not cut the inner frame rails to go bigger. ECS all the way here..Robert

I thought the outlet was too small also. I chopped it off and welded on a 3.75". Works great for me.

We are using a treadstone style core with custom endtanks on my car. I am confident it will be able to handle anything the 80mm can dish out.
