I try to be conscious of many things throughout the jobs that I do. Albert’s car was no exception. The goal: gain at the track, lose nothing on the street. I wanted the car to run cooler than it previously did. We wanted driveability to still be good, but with a larger cam and injectors. Of course we wanted it neat and clean. Albert still hasn’t asked me to rewire the top of the car because he still utilizes the red FRCs, so the wires remain.
Part of the cooling improvement was to move the transmission cooler, but not put it in a place that starves it for air. The problem with this cooler is that it’s too tall to simply stand up, so I had to install it at an angle. I designed a shroud that met all the criteria.
We put a full height Dewitt’s radiator in, used ECS cradle and I worked to keep the front isolated from the back so that the air would flow through the radiator instead of bypassing it. The rule is that air takes the path of least resistance.
I really like the A&A shroud, so I decided to keep that in the car.
I’m also an advocate of keeping good voltage in the vehicle, so we put one of my Billet Tech alternators in there.
In the name of keeping things clean, simple and matching his flat black look, I modified the nozzle housings and coated them and also sleeved all the lines.
New 127lb injectors
In the name of getting maximum airflow at the track, I set this up.
The stock TI exhaust sounds so nice, with no drone. To maintain that quiet, but achieve more airflow, we did the bypass mod.
Titanium looks so nice at the welds.
I also built him one of my custom drain lines with the quick disconnect. It disconnects with the snap of your fingers.
I pressure check everything when I’m done, but I noticed that the factory gaskets were toast. When I lifted the intake manifold up, there was nothing hanging past the manifold surface, so I installed new seals.
I saw some opportunity in the throttle body port work, so I worked it some more.
Built a new sensor with Motorola chip.
Dave at Nitrous Outlet came up with this design on a steam vent kit and I really like it. I asked him to put the removable cap on the top so I can crack it and bleed it.

What did you ask for, loosen up for a better launch? Also, you had 3.73's before right?
yea, before i could only foot brake it to 2000. now i can get it up to 2500. i did drop from 3.73s to 3.42s. i was almost running out of gear with the old setup and figured i would need a little room with the new setup.
