He actually did finish it... installed it on Friday and was breaking it in..
He was coming back from family's house and his mother was in the car with him.. she is ok and out of the hospital.
He was a member here but didn't post much.. but love racing and driving in general... He was always the center of attention.. The guy that hit him is in jail now, he had a passenger and he fled the scene.. but will be caught soon enoguh..
I can honestly say he died doing what he loved to do...
Josh, sorry for your loss of a good friend,I know you him were close. Give me a hollar if you need anything, and if I'm able I'll do it. Be safe,L8R ZFLASH
Very sad this young man’s life was taken so quickly. Even sadder, is reading some of the comments following the news article. Like the guy who asks "how does a 23 year old own a vette?" never mind the fact this 22 year old was killed by a drunk driver driving his vette...never knew there was an age barrier to own a corvette…
Omar was a real good guy. Never saw him mad at anybody. Became a staple at the shop, and was always there helping whoever was working on whatever. Makes me sad, I will miss him.

My condolences to his family and friends.
Those comments in the news article were unnecessary and calloused...sadly that seems to be the norm with news sites/peanut gallery section..I bet they would not utter those words in person.
