Man with the correct off set on a rim a 345 will just stick out a hair on the car. Plus without being tubbed. The clown in here has a 345 on his car with a aftermarket rim.

There's plenty of talk about 28" tires fitting in C5's, except they usually rub the brake duct if you have them (Z06) and will tend to rub the inner fender well a little bit depending on your wheel offset and suspension.

305/40/18 comes in at ~27.7", so just a tad under 28", so I don't think you should have any issues.

Hell, I just bought a rear set of 305/35/18 tires, now you're making me wish I had bought some 305/40/18s!

I run a 28" tall 275 on mine, had to ditch my Z06 brake ducts and they rub the fender liners. I clearanced the liners but I think I'm ditching them this year, they scrub still every once in a blue moon on a hard launch.

My 17" ET streets are actually 27.2 and they still rub the liner (but not the brake ducts)

To the OP here. If you go with a c6 cradle under a c5 body it will bolt right up no problems. But what that does with the c6 cradle under it is MOVES the rear tire back 5/8 of a inch. This will let you clear a 28 inch tall tire in the front and it will not rub anything at all. But if you go with this set up with a auto trans you have to also buy a 5/8 plate from RPM with is 500.00 to marry up the trans to the rear end.

If you go with the t6060 you don't need that. But you will need a lot of money to replace the clutches in the car if you are really hard on it.

Again RPM transmissions is the only way to go in my book here. Todd & Rodney will stand behind all of their stuff plus help a custom out in ever way possible. Robert
