Default Bottle mounting question?

I am in the process of installing my kit. I plan on attaching the bottle brackets to a carpeted 2x8 and attaching the 2x8 to the floor of the rear storage area. I pulled the carpet back and did not see any factory mounting points to mount the board too. Is everyone just drilling through the floor panels and attaching their bottles that way? Or is there a factory moutning point for something else which I could adapt for my bottle. I'm just a little leary about drilling holes I dont need to.

I'm currently using an epoxy/Goop hybrid to secure a base frame 1/4" high for my mounting brackets to the right rear area-will have bolts sticking up through small incisions in the stock carpet.; I too was unwilling to drill holes in the cargo area, especially since the twin fuel tanks with crossover reside just under it. I think that it will work....

did you drill yet? the epoxy/Goop combo is working great, but I am curious if you can drill there. :)

5.7, I am still debating. I am looking at mounting the brackets in the rear center area ( storage compartment). I crawled under yesterday and there doesn't appead to be anything underneath that area. I think might go the epoxy route though....i really hate to put any holes into it. I will let you know thursday night what route I take.

Yep Still here. I ended up going the epoxy route... I figure it is reversible, unlike drilling.
