Default help, ecs blower drain plug came off

Anyone know the size and would it hurt the blower to run motor oil in it to get me home, 32 miles?

If I had to guess, it's 3/8" NPT (pipe thread). A&A puts a drain hose on it and that's either 1/4 or 3/8NPT to -4AN or same as #4 JIC if you're at a hardware store.

I would run light weight synthetic in it, such as synchromesh from Mobil 1, Royal Purple or Penzoil to get home. I've seen people run 20/50 in it. Put whatever you can in it to get you home and you'll be fine.

I agree - get what you can in it and drive it home!

Keep us posted on your repair!

Thanks,Matt

Got a fitting from Lowes and put it on with a plug then added motor oil. I used the work truck to get it and not my car. Drove home and the blower sounded normal. Never went into boost either. Plan on draining it tomorrow and adding my blower fluid in. I had to use a coat hanger with some gauge paste (used for finding product level in a tank by handline) because I could not for the life of me see exactly where the mark was on the blower dip stick. Yes, it only takes 4 oz but I like to verify regardless.

Believe it or not same thing happened to me one time. I forgot to zip tie it back after a belt swap hit ground and backed out plug..luckily I didn't drive long before I noticed but it was almost completely out of oil when I found it.
